This globally recognized competition invites suppliers from around the world serving the furniture and interior design industries to submit their entries by February 21, 2025. It provides an excellent platform for companies to benchmark their innovations against the best in the industry.
A Renowned Industry Award
Now in its 13th edition, the Interzum Award continues to highlight outstanding solutions across key categories. A panel of expert judges will evaluate entries based on their functionality, design, material innovation, and sustainability. The award recognizes groundbreaking developments in the following categories:
- Function and Components – Encompassing lighting systems, semi-finished furniture products, kitchen and office furniture components, fittings, digital locks, hinges, connectors, and more.
- Materials and Nature – Covering wood, veneers, parquet flooring, interior construction materials, decorative surfaces, laminates, wood-based materials, solid-surface materials, surface treatments, embossing cylinders, natural materials, and related innovations.
- Textile and Machinery – Featuring machinery for upholstery and mattress production, upholstery materials, cover fabrics, leathers, adhesives, smart textiles, and temperature and moisture sensors for mattresses.
- Rethinking Resources – A special category honoring products and concepts that embrace sustainability, circular economy principles, and bio-based solutions. This includes materials designed for reuse, repair, refurbishment, and recycling, as well as environmentally friendly alternatives derived from renewable sources.
Focus on Circular and Bio-Based Solutions
The 2025 edition of Interzum is dedicated to advancing circular and bio-based solutions—a theme that also plays a central role in the award. Products that minimize resource consumption, extend product life cycles, or introduce innovative bio-based alternatives to petroleum-based materials will be given special recognition.
Key Dates and Online Exhibition
The jury will review submissions on April 3, 2025, and winners will be informed later in April. Award-winning products will be showcased in an online exhibition starting May 20, 2025.
